7.6     Keep a comprehensive pesticide application record, including the date, location, time, prevailing conditions, chemical trade name, chemical EPA registration number, pesticide family, rate of application, specific site observations, and the applicator’s certification number. Refine pesticide application over time, and strive for management efficiency.

BMPs for Invasive or Undesirable Weeds

7.7     Federal and State weed laws, County regulated weed lists, certified seed, forage and straw standards, as well as agricultural ethics, define Prevention and Containment goals and practices for undesirable weed species. The concepts extend beyond the boundaries of private lands and it is important that partnerships and coalitions develop which will allow weed management on a watershed or landscape basis.
