Stewardship Week
Stewardship week is held the last week of April and Shavano encourages the celebration by offering supplies and a presentation to the Elementary Schools in our district. Each presentation is done using and EnviroScape model, teaching the importance of conserving our natural resources. It gives the students a good visual of how easily our soil is washed away along with other contaminants into our water system.
Water Festival
We have been educating students at the “4th Grade Water Festival for nineteen years. The festival is a one day event that all 480 4th grade students in the RE1J school district attend. There are approximately forty-six presenters representing twenty different organizations presenting at twenty-two different stations. The students walk away with a vas knowledge of water.
